Singles and EPs are an easy way for independent artists to further their exposure. The cost can be minimal, and the results incredible. Ugly World Studios has an ever increasing catalogue of artists who have recorded singles and EPs.
With a wide selection of instruments and available musicians, Ugly World Studios can assist with both arrangement and production in addition to basic recording services.
ELISHA
Sunlight
Type: EP (5 tracks)
Date: November 2004
Elisha's Sunlight EP required 5 tracks produced to commercial standard, high quality design of all CD artwork (delivered to printer's specification), design of Elisha's website and printed promotional material. Drum tracks had been recorded at another studio and due to differing formats required editing at Ugly World. Mixing and in-house mastering was completed by mid October 2004. Packaging design and all promotional material, including website, was complete by the November 27 deadline. Ugly World was also enlisted to engineer Elisha's performance at the launch of Sunlight.
Audio Production: Co-Arrange all tracks, Mix all tracks, Master EP in-house, Play electric guitar & bass parts.
Graphic Design: CD design (4 page booklet, disc, inlay), Business Card, Flyer, Print-media advertisement, Website
JIM FLIN
Confusing to be Honest
Type: EP (4 tracks)
Date: November/December 2006
Jim Flin recorded Confusing to be Honest across 2 sessions at Ugly World. The objective was clear: capture the songs as they are, and add keyboards without diminishing the core acoustic nature of the songs. For this, the Estey bellow organ and Hammond organ were used in conjunction with piano.

MARLINCHEN
Drawing a Cat with the Aid of Two Coins
Type: EP (4 tracks)
Date: August 2005
Marlinchen's first EP recording was completed in one eight-hour session at Ugly World. Each of Marlinchen's instruments (bass, guitar, keys, violin) were recorded separately. Budget constraints required that the EP be finalised within the one session.

Feathers
Type: Single (2 tracks)
Date: August 2006
Marlinchen's 2nd foray into the studio was to record the single Feathers, which was to be released on 7" vinyl. The mixing and in-house mastering had to consider the final format. Both tracks were produced across 2 sessions at Ugly World Studios.

TEMPLEMOUNT
Templemount
Type: EP: (5 tracks)
Date: October 2006
Templemount tracked and mixed their first EP at Scream Ahead Studios, Eagle Farm. Keyboards were tracked at Ugly World and mixed with the original 2-track bounces. The EP was mastered in-house at Ugly World.

JULIE WALTON
The Witches Dance
Type: Single (2 tracks)
Date: November 2005
The Witches Dance single was a spin-off from early sessions on the album, Pagan Fire. The song was co-written and produced by Tim Fairless and the artist. The single also required a remix of the lead track. This was produced entirely by Ugly World over 2 days in November 2005.
