Services
Audio Engineering
Ugly World Studios core business is audio engineering. This involves tracking your songs and mixing them to a standard you'd hear on commercially released music. Virtually any recording scenario can be catered for.
We can even, if need be, pack up and head to your most remote recording location to capture the performance.¹
In addition to engineering, Ugly World Studios can assist in producing your material. During the course of a session we can provide tips and feedback if you want, or we can work to provide more comprehensive direction on the sound and how it can be created.
In any scenario, we understand that the relationship between the engineer and the artist is important, and key to obtaining the best possible end result.
In-house Mastering
Ugly World Studios offers an in-house mastering service to put the final polish on your tracks. This involves ensuring each song sits well with the songs around it regarding sonic shape and volume, making track sequences work as well as possible. Although we don't claim to be a mastering facility, the in-house mastering service can be a quick and effective way to get the most out of your tracks.
Graphic Design & Web Design
Graphic design, for many recording studios, can be classed as a side-note. Ugly World Studios understands that your project is more than just the recorded material; it is a complete product that must house and promote your work.
As a way to complete your project at Ugly World Studios, we can design any CD artwork, business cards or advertisements and deliver them to your printer's specification.

In addition to the audio aspect of the project, Ugly World Studios deisgned Elisha's CD artwork, business card, flyer, promotional card, banner advertisement for a local street press magazine and website (which included a bio, gig listing, sound clips and contact information).
